Oba’s take
Darden is the most underrated program on this list for career outcomes relative to selectivity. It consistently places into consulting and finance at rates that rival programs ranked above it. Two deadline windows is a real advantage — the July round is one of the only remaining options if you missed the April cluster, and it's explicitly open to international students. Darden's culture is built around the case method and collaborative learning. If you're someone who learns by doing and arguing, it fits well. Essay-wise, Darden follows similar patterns to the other programs: leadership moments, community contribution, clear career goals. Don't overlook it just because it's not in the M7.
